Terms and Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions apply to all transactions on The Beauty Box Shop website. Please ensure that you read them carefully.  By placing an order on this website you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.


Our Prices

All product prices are listed in Great British Pounds (£) sterling.  Prices with an RRP (Recommended Retail Price) refer to prices the manufacturer recommends goods are sold at in the UK.  Where a manufacturer's RRP is not readily available then this is a guideline price, which is based on how much other retailers within the UK are selling the same product.

We reserve the right to change any advertised price before accepting an order.  All products are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time.  If your order cannot be fulfilled you may be offered an alternative or given a refund for the unavailable product(s).


Product Details 

We guarantee that all advertised products are 100% genuine.  We also sell unboxed items and items split from multi-packs.  We may also supply goods considered as 'seconds' where the packaging is marked or scratched but where the products themselves are not damaged. 

We also sell 'testers'.  We do not provide any testers or samples free of charge.  Testers are produced by manufacturers for customers to sample the product before buying.  The actual product is exactly the same as the retail version, however it may have “Tester/Demonstrator” marked on the bottle or packaging.  Testers are usually supplied in a plain white box and sometimes do not have lids.  The reason for buying a tester is that is less expensive than the regular version, but just as good quality.

We make every reasonable effort to ensure all testers are marked as such and are clearly identified as a ‘Tester’.  By submitting your order to us, you are confirming that you are aware of this fact and do not consider this to be a problem with ordering and receiving these products.


Photographs used on our website

All products on our site will have an associated photograph.  They are for reference only.  Whilst we have made every reasonable effort to provide a true representation of the colours of the products, the way in which your screen displays the pictures means that variations may occur between the image on your screen and the item itself.


Colour Disclaimer

Due to a multitude of factors, we cannot 100% guarantee that the item colour displayed on our website will be an exact match to the item colour of the product.   Please understand that there are many variables which can change the colour you see as you view our site.  Computer monitors display millions of colours and the human eye can only decipher a very small fraction of those colours. And within that small fraction, we all see them differently.  In addition, different monitor settings may influence how colours are displayed.  Computer monitors have inherent limitations, and electronically reproducing colour on the internet is imprecise. Therefore, we cannot assure you that what you see accurately portrays the colour/shade of the item you purchase.  However, as we take pride in our work, we have gone to GREAT lengths to ensure the colours displayed are as ACCURATE as possible.  When you accept and place an order, you are accepting the limitations inherent in not using other visual aids, such as catalogues or other live samples.  Your completion of an order constitutes your waver of any claim you may have due to dissatisfaction with the product colour.


Order Processing

We are able to accept orders from customers in the UK, the European Union, all EU member countries (except Germany), USA, Canada, and Australia.

Please be aware that due to postal restricitons, we are unable to send nail polish or other similar products outside of the UK. 

All orders are despatched with 2-3 working days of receipt.  Orders received over the weekend or Bank Holidays will be processed on the next working day.


The following process will create a contract of sale between you and The Beauty Box Shop:

1. You place an order for your products on The Beauty Box Shop website by pressing the submit button at the end of the checkout process. 

2. After you have submitted your order you will be sent an automated e-mail confirming receipt of your order with The Beauty Box Shop. This is not a formal acceptance from The Beauty Box Shop. We reserve the right to decline any order. 

3. Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and The Beauty Box Shop will take place once we despatch the products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it. 

Non-acceptance of an order may occur as a result of one of the following reasons:

‧    The product(s) you ordered being unavailable from stock

‧    We have reason to suspect the authenticity of the order placed

‧    An order is received from a country we cannot ship to


Any contract between us, whether for use of the site or in relation to the purchase of products or services through the site, will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and all parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. Any contract will be communicated in English.



We accept payment by all major credit and debit cards, PayPal and uncrossed Postal Orders. 


Cancellations Policy

In accordance with the EU Distance Selling Directive you have the right to cancel any order from the time you place the order to within seven working days from delivery (starting the day after you receive the goods).  This is to provide you with a "cooling off period" should you have changed your mind. 

The goods must be returned unused, unopened and in the same condition as they were when originally despatched by The Beauty Box Shop.  We will not accept for exchange or refund any item which has been used, opened or is not in the exact condition in which it was despatched by us.  

If you wish to cancel an order then please contact us via email.  If your order has not yet been despatched then we will cancel your order from our system and issue a refund immediately.  If your order has already been despatched you will need to take delivery of the goods and then your order cancellation will be dealt with in accordance with our Returns Policy. These conditions do not affect your statutory rights.


Damaged or Faulty Goods 

We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase.  In the unlikely event that any item you receive is damaged or faulty then please follow the Returns Policy stated below for a full replacement or refund.


Returns Policy 

To return an item you must contact us by email to confirm which item(s) are being returned stating your order reference and the reason for return.  You are requested to return the goods by second class post.  We also suggest sending via registered or insured post, so the parcel can be traced.  Please ensure that items are packed securely to prevent any damage in transit.  Any free gifts associated with an item must also be returned at the same time.  

Please return the item(s) to our registered address along with the original packing note and the reason for return.  Refunds will be processed within 7 days of receipt of the returned goods. 

If you are returning the item(s) because you have changed your mind we will refund the cost of the goods only.  There will be no refund for the original shipping costs of the goods from The Beauty Box Shop to you or the cost to yourself of shipping the goods back to The Beauty Box Shop. Where the original order qualified for Free Shipping then we reserve the right to recover our original shipping costs to you up to a maximum of £10.00. 

If you are returning the item(s) because they are damaged or faulty then the refund shall be for the goods and all shipping costs which will include a re-imbursement to you for the cost of returning the goods to The Beauty Box Shop. 

Our site is aimed at customers who have already purchased and experienced the product, either the colour in terms of make up, the smell in terms of perfume or its use in the case of skincare.  If you have ordered the wrong product, then you can still return for a full refund, but please note that the items must be unopened and unused and you will have to pay postage costs.


Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy.  We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.  Our company policy is that we will never supply any of your details to any other company unless required to do so as part of the order verification process or if required to do so by UK governing law. 

We collect information about you for two reasons; to process your order and to provide you with the best possible service. You can check any information we may hold about you by contacting us.  If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly. 

 The information we may collect only occurs when an order is processed.  Personal details are sent to our system using 128 bit secure socket layer (SSL) encryption. 

The information we collect about you includes: 

 - Name 

- Address 

- Phone number 

- Email address 

From time to time we may send you e-mail notifications of new arrivals or promotions from The Beauty Box Shop.  In all e-mails you will be given the option to be removed from our mailing list. Cookies are used on this shopping site but only to keep track of your shopping cart once you have selected items for purchase.

Our Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. 

Sales on this web site are governed by English law and you agree to submit any dispute to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.  All orders are subject to these terms and conditions, and no amendments will be accepted by us.
